Ep. #040 - Should You Post Your Prices on Social Media?
Guess who's back?! Back Again! Stevie's Back! Tell your friends. We do have fun, don't we? This week on the podcast Steve's drinking a Flat 12 Bierworks Milk Stout and Dustin's back on that clear beverage he claims is water. Then there's a ton of follow up. Steve tells an embarrassing story about himself that he thought Dustin was referencing in the last episode. Steve gets to the bottom of whether or not Dustin really feels responsible when his couples divorce. Dustin gives some terrible excuse for why he keeps getting his soft box in photos that doesn't really make sense, but whatever... And finally we talk about some reasons why the photographer that shoots the proposal might not shoot the engagement session or the wedding. Finally, follow up is over.

Ep. #039 - Double Wide Lenses with Jennifer Van Elk
Steve's sick, so he asked his wife Jenn to step in for him this week on the podcast. But it's okay, because he grabbed her a Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA before he went to bed for the night. First Jenn and Dustin are following up on some topics from past episodes. Ulices Del Toro of the Wedding Photo Podcast wrote in to update us on Style Me Pretty. It's not dead yet. Phantom Producer Louie Novak didn't end up having strep throat... but he did have the flu. You'll have to listen to the episode to see what happened to him with regard to wedding he had to shoot shortly after he found out he was sick though. Next up, Jenn talks to Dustin about why he finally got back on Twitter last week, since Steve totally forgot... Then she calls Dustin out on something related to his Twitter. Last up, Dustin talks about that styled shoot he did for free that another vendor paid to be a part of and talks about why the shoot went up on a blog, but didn't make it into the magazine.

Ep. #038 - Are Styled Shoots Killing The Wedding Industry?
Steve and Dustin were together again, face to face and making the magic happen. First up, they're discussing an event they shot together just moments before they started recording. Then they're talking follow up, and they're talking about Oath, Yahoo, AOL, Flickr, and Style Me Pretty. Then they're talking fashion photography and whether or not fashion photographers make better wedding photographers than wedding photographers. Then they're moving on to talking about newborn baby photography sessions.

Ep. #037 - Wedding Photo Faux Pas
It's Dustin's Birthday! Well, not today, but on the day we were recording. He's another year older, but none the wiser, hence still making this podcast! Tonight Steve's drinking some Espresso Whiskey from XXX Distillery which he picked up on his vacation... but don't worry, he cut out the 15 minute talk about Dustin's Birthday and his vacation from this episode. Anyway, today we're talking about Style Me Pretty shutting down. Then after the 30 seconds we could spare for that, we go through an article on Brides.com about 9 wedding photos mistakes. We break down every single one and talk about how we deal with those situations and whether or not we think they're actually mistakes. You can follow along at the following link:

Ep. #036 - Rube Goldberg Photo Delivery & Social Media Sleuthing
Steve and Dustin are talking about social media, a lot, and specifically about something super douchey that Steve did... Also, Steve does some social media sleuthing as he tries to get to the bottom of the biggest mystery he's ever uncovered on Twitter. We talk a little about new Twitter policy changes and Dustin's sudden growth on Instagram too. Then we talk about how you can set yourself apart from every other person at the wedding with a DSLR, especially the videographers.

Ep. #033 - A Day Late and a Pot of Gold Short (St. Patrick's Day Special)
Here's a St. Patrick's Day episode that we intentionally released the day after St. Patrick's Day. Also, Dustin sent me photos of a Scottish wedding to use for the cover art, because I'm not certain he understands what St. Patrick's Day is... Anyway, in this episode Steve is drinking a Guinness, a Lagunitas Night Time, and a Heavy Seas The Alpha Effect (don't worry, he's just drinking like a half glass of each). Dustin's on that Bailey's Irish Cream.

Ep. #032 - Wedding Businesses Put On Blast with The Devil's Advocate
This week on the podcast, we're talking about some wedding businesses that were put on blast on social media... right after some quick follow up and drink discussion. Steve's drinking a Lagunita's Lag and Dustin's drinking a White Russian, or just milk. Then we're talking about a bug in an IFTTT formula causing people to post three times to Twitter for every one Instagram post they put up, and on the subject of social media Dustin and Steve talk about Linktr.ee. Next up, we talk about the bizarre case of a wedding dress shop in Dustin's hometown that went out of business after getting some bad reviews on social media, which seemed to be warranted. Then we talk about a wedding photography company in Canada that went out of business after a client went on social media to take the company down, but in this case a Canadian court found that the client was actually in the wrong.

Ep. #031 - The One with Nathan Mitchell of the Epic Podcast
This week we invited photographer and podcaster Nathan Mitchell onto the show to talk about how he got started shooting weddings, why he thinks it's beneficial to second shoot, running Instagram advertising campaigns, and his band Prisms. We touch on a lot of other stuff too and Nathan gives some great, practical advice for photographers. Plus, Nathan tells us about the first wedding he shot... when he was traveling in India. We also play some Star Wars trivia and answer some questions from the internet about whether or not you should narc on a guest that's breaking the venue's rules, whether or not an inexperienced photographer should shoot a friend's wedding, and what to do if you see something you shouldn't at a wedding (which we're pretty certain was joke question, but we included it anyway).
