Dustin and Steve invite special guest Jennifer Van Elk (Steve's wife) onto the episode. Dustin's drinking a Lil Sumpin' Sumpin' from Lagunitas while Steve and Jenn are all up on the Eirik Bloodaxe from Scarlet Lane again. This week we talk about the Lightroom fork by Adobe. Then we move onto talking about whether or not brides and grooms should have their phones on them on the wedding day. After that we talk about unplugged weddings and whether or not we like them.
Ep. #010 - The Ten-iversary Episode!
In this episode we finally get around to doing the drawing for that giveaway, but you're going to have to wait till the end of the episode to find that out. In the meantime, Steve, a great Indiana man that drinks great Indiana beer, slums it with a great Ohio beer from MadTree Brewing called PsycHOPathy. Dustin's drinking a Leinenkugel Oktoberfest. Next up, Steve and Dustin discuss what they shot this weekend. Steve brags about his wife and her excellent work, while Dustin talks about shooting without his wife. The talk turns toward religion but quickly veers away as Steve and Dustin aren't equipped to discuss this topic at all. Dustin tries to talk about his experience in New York seeing a celebrities show, while Steve constantly interrupts him. Then finally, we move on to the good stuff. We talk about that new DJI Zenmuse x7 and Inspire 2 and how excited we are by this product. Dustin's a little jazzed about the new Sony a7S III, but since we don't know anything about it we quickly move onto Dustin playing around with the Sony a9.
Ep. #009 - Overpayment Scams
On this episode Steve and Dustin discuss overpayment scams, but first they start with a quick apology because they didn't have time to make a video for everyone. Then Steve's back on the Eirik Bloodaxe from Scarlet Lane. He may never get over being sick as a result, but it's so worth it. Meanwhile, Dustin's drinking a clear liquid. Then Steve discusses a recent overpayment scam someone tried to pull on him pretending to be an independent filmmaker, and Dustin also talks about the overpayment scam someone tried to pull on him pretending to be photo editor for the Atlantic. Dustin shares a story about a family member that was affected by an overpayment scam, but didn't lose any money thankfully. Then Steve and Dustin move on to discussing flashes again, and like usual the talk turns to Yongnuo. We can't talk enough about this brand. Steve and Dustin discuss their plan of action for shooting in dark venues with no windows, dim lighting, and black ceilings (your typical anus venue). Steve and Dustin talk a little bit about making art vs. running a business. Finally Steve introduces a new segment we're calling Crazy Questions from the Internet (until we find a better name), wherein Steve and Dustin answer questions people asked on the internet... or questions you direct message to Steve on Twitter or Instagram. Questions cover the topics of what to charge when you're first starting out, where it's okay to buy cameras from, and what are some funny poses for your clients to do.

In this episode there's some more cheese talk. Dustin has a Colby-jack wedding couple. Then we're back to the beer. Dustin's drinking a Harvest Hefe from Samuel Adams, while Steve is drinking another great Indiana beer for a great Indiana man, like Steve. This week he finally cracked open an Eirik Bloodaxe from Scarlet Lane. Then Steve and Dustin talk about shooting while sick. Steve gives Dustin a primer on what his wife and him call "traditional coverage" for the wedding day. Dustin briefly tells the heartbreaking story of what happened to one of his lenses this past weekend. Then we revisit a topic from previous weeks, off-camera flash and triggers. Dustin briefly talks about what brand he ditched Pocket Wizard to use and then Dustin and Steve share their thoughts about the new Profoto A1 Speed Lights. Hot light bling. Then it's on to Steve explaining the term honey dick to Dustin, and asking him why he would use that on the official Instagram account. After that Steve and Dustin briefly talk about firesafes. Steve gets asked to join the Illuminati on Instagram. Steve gives Dustin a brief explanation of what's changed in the Instagram Explore tab.
Ep. #007 - The Chipotle Queso Faux-Hangover Cure
In this episode Steve and Dustin talk about the new queso at Chipotle which Dustin thought might be a hangover cure. It wasn't. They have a lot of thoughts about queso though. Tonight Steve's drinking Founders Porter which he mistakenly calls Dark, Rich, and Sexy... Which while an apt description of the beer, so apt it's on the label, apparently it isn't the actual name of the beer. Steve also brags a little more about that Scarlet Lane Eirik Bloodaxe he has but isn't drinking yet. Dustin is drinking A Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale from Lagunitas. Then it's on to business as usual. Steve complains about people complaining on social media about their Apple computers and products just to get those sweet, sweet interactions. Dustin talks about how to handle shooting multiple locations when you're traveling and unfamiliar with the area. Steve pitches an idea to Dustin for a Super Mario Bros. themed stylized shoot that's captured entirely by drones so that the bride and groom can lay down and look 2D the whole time. Steve talks about the importance of shooting with your flash in manual mode as opposed to TTL... because he got mad about another thing he read on social media, per usual. Then Steve tells Dustin about Yongnuo gear and why he prefers their transmitters/receivers to Pocket Wizards. Dustin recaps some of his Kickstarter failures and tries to sell Steve on the concept of the Loop again. Then Dustin talks about a Kickstarter product that, hold on to your pants, actually shipped! He's talking about the brain melter itself, Zungle. Then Steve's daughter wakes up and they cut the episode short.

In this episode, Dustin and Steve talk about the new iPhone X... Well, they try to talk about it but first Steve forces Dustin to talk about their drinks. Dustin is drinking a clear liquid which he claims is water. Steve is drinking a Tiberius IPA from Scarlet Lane, a great Indiana beer for a great Indiana man. Then Dustin and Steve get down to talking about what they are excited about with the announcement of the iPhone X. Dustin tries to explain to Steve how he rents-to-own his phones instead of buying them outright. Steve shares a.lot of tech specs he read straight from the MacStories website. Then Dustin coerces Steve to read an Instagram DM conversation. Steve sent a bunch of eggplant emojis to someone on Instagram, which ultimately devolves into Dustin and Steve talking about dick pics, thus continuing their inability to ever run for political office. Dustin shares his marketing secrets that get him to 50-60 weddings a year, while Steve talks about how much he dislikes Avatar, the movie... Not the cartoon or the Last Air Bender movie. Spoiler alert, Steve drinks a second beer, a Spooky Tooth Imperial Pumpkin Ale from Fat Heads Brewing and things go off the rails for a little while. Then, finally, Dustin decides to run a giveaway.
Ep. #005 - Just the Tip
In this episode, Dustin plays just the tip with his Voodoo Ranger Atomic Pumpkin Ale while Steve drinks a delicious St. Bernardus Tripel bought for him as a gift. Then, Steve promotes the podcast, in the podcast. It's podcast inception. Dustin and Steve discuss their non-existent political futures. Then it's on to the good stuff. Dustin talks about his backup plan since he just went through what he calls the super bowl of wedding weekends (Labor Day Weekend) where he shot three weddings. Then Steve goes on a rant about the misuse of drones in photography and videography, especially in wedding photography and videography. Dustin gets around to talking about another Kickstarter product that he still hasn't received. It's called GearEye and Dustin refers to it as a Tile competitor. Steve shares an embarrassing story about misunderstanding song lyrics. Then Dustin talks about another product he "invested" in and never received called loop. It's a product for people without smartphones or tablets.
Ep. #004 - Hashtag Hoshtog
In this episode, Dustin tries to convince Steve to watch a television show named Billions and also a show named Life. Steve confesses he’s been spending all of his TV watching time at a place where everybody knows his name. On the subject of bars, Dustin is drinking a Leinenkugel and Steve is drinking a Goose Island 312 during this podcast. They waste a lot of time talking about their blogging strategies and Instagram strategies (or lack thereof), before Steve goes on a rant about those stupid big picture collage/mural things people still do on their Instagram profiles. Meanwhile, Dustin can’t even download a photo to post to his Instagram because he just can’t even.
Ep. #003 - Canon Vs. Nikon Vs. Sony Vs. Alcohol
In this episode Dustin and Steve talk about whether or not they drink alcohol while shooting weddings and also whether or not they drink caffeine during weddings. They also try to talk about the differences between Canon and Nikon and Sony, but they recorded on a Saturday night after drinking some alcohol so they get pretty derailed talking about Dustin's Dilemma with backing the Coolest Cooler on Kickstarter. Also, they go on a random tangent about Steve's waking night terrors and whether or not Bruce Wayne or Batman would be interested in using children's tears to prolong their life.
Ep. #002 - Ranch Steaks And Moon Shoes
In this episode Steve and Dustin talk about what it's like working with friends. Steve's audio got messed up and he sounds like he was breathing in helium. Someone put ranch on their steak at a wedding and someone also wore moonshoes to a wedding. We'll let you guess who that was. Dustin makes Steve jealous by talking about a Doctor Who themed wedding he captured. Also, Dustin explains MoviePass to Steve and Steve explains to Dustin why it sounds like a terrible idea that will end with the company going bankrupt.
