Ep. #067 - Photographers From the Future with Thom Stewart and Greg Campbell of The Snappening

Ep. #067 - Photographers From the Future with Thom Stewart and Greg Campbell of The Snappening

This week we're using some quantum entanglement to record an episode with Thom Stewart and Greg Campbell, who just so happen to live in the future. Well, I mean, like 15 - 17 hours ahead of us. We're talking about Photoshop for the iPad, Yongnuo's Mirrorless Camera, Yongnuo Flashes, Godox Flashes, Shooting with Sony, and also expressing milk while shooting a wedding (something none of us are really qualified to talk about, but whatever).

Ep. #057 - How Do You Handle Difficult Clients?

How do we handle edit requests? Is it weird to pay someone in advance of their service on the wedding day? Your Instagram might be hacked. Stop turning your greens into browns in Lightroom. It looks like crap. There's a 150 megapixel medium format camera that was released. Canon's releasing two new mirrorless cameras this week that'll be full frame. Nikon apologizes because they can't keep up with demand for the Nikon Z7.

Ep. #056 - Fixing the Nikon Z7

Steve's drinking a Flat 12 Pogue's Run Porter, again. Dustin's not drinking, again... But apparently he had a lot of vodka cranberries right before we recorded. Dustin tells a story about smoke bombs. Then we talk about a dilemma with the Knot. After that we transition into the Drone Zone to talk about the new DJI Mavic 2 Pro and DJI Mavic 2 Zoom. One of us has already pre-ordered the Pro. Then we talk about the new Nikon Z6 and Z7. A lot of photographers seem to be upset about it because it doesn't live up to their expectations, so Steve lays out a plan to fix the Nikon Z7. It all applicable to the Nikon Z6 too. Then we briefly mention the Carl Zeiss fixed lens camera that was teased on the same day that DJI and Nikon announced their big news. After that we talk about the idea of a wedding tax because of a post we read on Reddit

Frustrating Drone Footage

Frustrating Drone Footage

In the last episode of the podcast Dustin spent a very long time complaining about the drone footage from a recent wedding he shot. He complained a lot about the visuals from the drone. That unfortunately doesn't translate very well to an audio podcast. So, we've gone ahead and decided to upload the footage from the drone. It's only a little over 2 minutes long. It's not a good representation of Dustin's work or his brand/style. Open this blog post to see the video…

Ep. #052 - What's the Going Rate for Second Shooters?

We made the switch from SoundCloud to Anchor. So, if you’ve been a loyal Soundcloud listener that’s a little bad news. Next up Dustin updates people on the stolen photo situation with real talk about what his lawyer is asking for from the culprit. Then we’re talking beer. Steve’s on that Scarlet Lane Dorian Stout. Dustin is drinking water, which he refers to as dihydrogen oxide. He’s probably going to die soon if he’s drinking that.
