This week is an experimental episode. After shooting a wedding together, on the drive home, Steve and Jenn recorded an episode of Wedding Photo Hangover. They walk listeners through the itinerary for the day of the wedding and talk about problems that arose and how they problem solved. Since they are using mobile recording equipment in a noisy environment, the audio isn't quite as good as usual, but we feel that the content more than makes up for that. We hope you feel the same way. (photo of Jenn Van Elk by Sam Hurd)
Ep. #106 - Relocating Your Business with Meredith Ryncarz of the Restart Specialist
This week we were joined by Meredith Ryncarz of Meredith Ryncarz Photography and the Restart Specialist! Those are both websites and YouTube channels full of educational content for photographers. We talk with Meredith about relocating your business in a new city, finding second shooters in a new city, how you can find and exploit weaknesses in a new market, and about some great tips for getting your name out there and networking when you move. This episode is jam packed with great information.
Ep. #105 - Should You Charge More When You Have a Difficult Client?
Has your favorite government employee been fired for liking Tupac too much? Yeah, we're all feeling it this week. Plus we reveal more to the story of the "influencer" with 55k followers who wanted free wedding videos made and got rejected by Betrothed and Co.
Ep. #104 - What's the Most Awkward Situation You've Been in as a Photographer?

We're also talking about last minute changes to itineraries, how long couples should kiss during their first kiss, what it's like to shoot with a Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k, and why it is that people are calling styled shoots stranger sessions all of a sudden. We've also got a lot of follow up on shooting out of the country, working in politics, shoe fashion for photographers, Dustin's new SEO guy (the rat), and DJI drones.
Ep. #103 - Do You Take Selfies with Random Guests?
Dustin is back from Mexico and we're bringing that fire again. This week we're talking about a photographer that punched a groom in the nose (no jokes), the f/2.0 new holy trinity that Canon is rolling out, and guests applauding as the bride walks down the aisle... WTF is up with that? We're also taking a cold look at true crime again with the story of photographer who was caught scamming brides. Busted. But first we have some follow up about piñatas and the relative greenness of California compared to Indiana. Also, Steve's wife Jenn writes in to set the record straight on a lot of dumb stuff Steve has said.

We talk about Youtubers faking trips on Instagram, Unsplash hitting 1 million photos posted, a photographer wearing white to a wedding, a photographer getting angry DMs from a maternity boudoir client's husband (it's convoluted), and how you can make the bridal party happy by sending your second shooter to get this one thing. We also have a lot of follow up about how brown or green the state of California is, whether or not Dustin lied to Steve about a listener, Steve's DJI Mavic Pro watercolor effect woes, and the greatest joke a listener has ever pulled off.

We're also talking about trips to California and Mexico, Lightroom being sold on the Mac App Store, the stolen Royal wedding photos and some fun stuff like bloodsucking kissing bugs and Dr. Marijuana Pepsi Vandyck. Dustin also cracks open a cold case. That's right, he's reopened the case of his SEO guy who sent him a letter saying that the SEO business had gone bankrupt. It's juicy as hell. Plus we have a lot of information about smoke bombs, fog machines, and atmosphere aerosol in the follow up. Also, someone admits to making a huge mistake with regard to their photo editing software.

Ep. #099 - What's the Weirdest Thing You've Done for Your Photography Business?
This week we're talking a lot about that new Mac Pro from Apple. It may look like a cheese grater, but we're pretty certain it doesn't grate cheese. Steve posits a theory about Patrick Rothfuss's book series The Kingkiller Chronicle which is oddly related to this new Mac Pro. We talk about what you should do if a bride asks you not to take many photos of a bridesmaid. We also talk about what it's like to do photography in your thirties.
Ep. #098 - How Do You Take Photos Your Clients Will Use in Their Profiles?
This week we're talking about the death of the Canon 7D, why some people are afraid to try new types of photography (specifically wedding photography), and how Sony just pushed Nikon out of the number two spot for camera sales in the US. We also have the harrowing tale of one man getting bitten by a devilish fiend, updates on Dustin's time in politics, and a little talk about Aston Villa making it back to the Premier League! This week we had Nathan Holritz on the show! Nathan is the host of the Bokeh podcast and A Love Portrait podcast. He's also the CEO of Photographers Edit and Miilu. We talk with Nathan about his transition from wedding photographer to CEO of a wedding photo editing company, about his goals with the Bokeh podcast, about how to feed frozen mice to pet snakes, and how to turn photographers serving jail time into editing machines. Nathan also teaches how to say penis in Japanese, so stick around till the very end.
Ep. #093 - Using Flash on the Surface of the Sun
This week we're diving deep into all of the good news. We've spent so many weeks discussing terrible things. We're getting dragged down by it. So, we're talking about an SD card error, weird must list requests, the photographer and his wife that replanted an entire forest, paying for photos without a watermark, anti-selfies, and a Wakanda inspired newborn shoot.

Either way, it's a good, good show, even if we forgot about the 4/20 and Easter Holidays.
Ep. #091 - Should You Date a Wedding Client Who is in an Open Relationship?
This week we're talking about some photography and videography criminals.
